ORDER OF THE BOARD (by J.D. Durnelle):
On September 16, 1986, American Hoechst Corporation
(Petitioner) filed a petition for variance from 35 Ill. Adm. Code
304.124(a) until May 31, 1988 as that section relates to fats,
oils and grease and Total Suspended Solids. On December 8, 1986,
the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Agency) filed its
recommendation on the variance request.
The Board questions whether since the filing of the Agency’s
recommendation, the business operations of Petitioner may have
changed from that described in the petition for variance. The
Board hereby requests that the Petitioner submit a status report
on the petition for variance providing the Board with (1) an up-
dated description of Petitioner’s present operations and (2) an
indication of the manner in which Petitioner intends that this
matter proceed. If such status report is not,filed within forty—
five (45) days of the date of this order, this matter will be
subject to dismissal.
