Respondent.
ORDER OF THE BOARD (by J. Marlin):
On May 23, 1988, the Respondent filed a Motion to Continue
Proceedings. In the motion, the Respondent requests that this
matter be held in abeyance until the Respondent and the Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency (Agency) hold a meeting pursuant
to Section 31(d) of the Illinois Environmental Protection Act.
The Agency filed a Response to the motion on June 1, 1988.
In its Response, the Agency states that the Respondent was sent a
31(d) letter and that a 31(d) conference was held on November 19,
1982.
The Respondent’s motion is denied.
The Board notes that the Respondent apparently desires a
meeting with the Agency in order to attempt to resolve this
matter. A meeting may aid the parties in resolving this matter;
the Board fully encourages the parties to hold such a meeting.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
Board, hereby certify that the above Order was adopted on
