    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by M. Nardulli):
This matter comes before the Board on petitioners’ Motion for
Leave to File An Oversized Reply Brief Instanter filed October 20,
    1989.
Petitioners seek a one-day extension to file its 27-page reply
    brief.
    Section 101.104(b)
of the Board’s Procedural Rule provides
    that
    reply
    briefs
    shall
    not
    exceed
    25
    pages
    in
    length.
    This
    Section
    requires a party
    seeking
    to
    file
    an oversized
    brief
    to
obtain prior approval of the Board.
Although petitioners did not obtain the Board’s approval to
file a brief in excess of the 25-page limit prior to submitting the
brief, the instant circumstances are such that the Board will grant
    petitioners’
    motion.
Petitioners had only two days to file their
    brief
    replying to respondent’s
    62-page
    brief.
    Under
    this tight
briefing schedule it would have been virtually impossible to obtain
    prior Board approval.
Therefore, petitioners’ Motion for Leave to
File An Oversized Brief Instanter is granted.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
    I,
    Dorothy M.
    Gunn,
Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
Board hereby certify that the above Order was adopted gn the
