    ORDER OF THE BOARD (by J. Marlin)
    On May
    23,
    1989,
    Motor Wheel Corporation,
    Inc.
    (Motor Wheel)
    filed a permit appeal from an Environmental Protection Agency
    modified permit approving
    a closure plan for three hazardous
    waste container storage areas
    in Mendota,
    Illinois.
    On October
    27,
    1989,
    Motor Wheel filed
    a waiver
    of decision with
    the Board
    until April
    18,
    1990;
    on February 13, 1990, Motor Wheel filed an
    open waiver of decision deadline.
    Over
    a year has gone by since this petition was filed.
    The
    Board has been advised by the Hearing Officer
    that the parties
    have engaged
    in ongoing negotiations.
    The Board directs the
    parties
    to submit
    a status report
    to the Board and the Hearing
    Officer
    no later
    than July 23,
    1990, which shall include an
    indication of when the parties will proceed to hearing on this
    matter.
