Order of the Board
(by J.D.
Dumelle):
This
matter
comes before
the
Board upon
an April
2,
1990,
request
for extension
of variance
for the Scott Air
Force
Base
Waste Water Treatment
Plant.
Scott Air Force Base
(“SAFE”)
notes
that
a previous extension was granted by the Board on January
11,
1990,
toand
until
February
28,
1990.
SAFB states that
it
has
experienced further problems with the construction progress on the
Waste
Water Treatment
Plant
and
requests
that
it be
allowed
to
operate under the variance conditions until April
30,
1990.
The
Board
is
unable
to
determine
whether
the
Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency (“Agency”)
has been served with
a
copy of this request.
The Board construes this request as a motion
for extension of variance.
Before ru1inz~on the motion,
however,
the Board requests a response from the Agency.
So that the Board
can decide the matter at its next meeting on April
26,
1990,
the
Board requests that the Agency file its response on or before April
24,
1990.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
