ILLINOIS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD

IN THE MATTER OF:
PETITION OF DART CONTAINER
)
CORPORATION FOR ADJUSTED
)
AS 91-6
STANDARD FROM 35 ILL.ADM.
)
(Adjusted Standard)
CODE 218.986
)
ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by J. Theodore Meyer):
This matter is before the Board on the Illinois Environmental
Protection Agency’s
(Agency) October 3,
1991 motion for extension
of time to file its response to Dart Container Corporation’s (Dart)
petition for adjusted standard.
The Agency requests an extension
of time from October
6,
1991 to November
6,
1991.
In support of
its request, the Agency states that Dart has no objection to the
request, that no hardship will result to Dart if the extension is
granted, and that the extension of time is necessary “in order that
the
Agency
may
present
a
reasoned
response that
will minimize
adverse precedential effects.”
(Affidavit at 1.)
Because Dart has no objection to the requested extension, and
because
of
the
relatively
short
time
period
of
the
requested
extension,
the Board will grant the motion.
However,
in future
filings the Board will expect
a more complete explanation of the
reasons for an extension that was given
in this case.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
