ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by C.
A. Manning):
On October
24,
1991,
the Board on its own motion issued
orders opening a series
of dockets to address rulemaking required
by the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990
(CAAA).
Among other
things, the orders established
a proposed schedule for submittal
of regulatory proposals and target dates for Board action, and
requested public comment
on the proposed schedule.
The following dockets in this series remain open:
R91-27
PACT
Amendments:
25 TPY Sources
R91-31
Employee Trip Reduction Program
R91-32
Granite City SO2 Emissions
R91-33
Alton SO2 Emissions
R91-34
Southeast Chicago SO2 Emissions
R9l-37
PM10:
Contingency Measures
No regulatory proposals were filed in any of these dockets.
The Board is today dismissing each of these dockets.
The
timetables proposed by the Board have been superseded by those
established by the legislature in P.A. 87-1213, effective
September 26,
1992.
Codified in Section 28.5 of the Act, this
legislation established “fast—track” rulemaking procedures for
CAAA-required rules,
1
and left the timing of the filing of
regulatory proposal within the discretion of the Agency.
To avoid any public confusion over procedures to be employed
