THE BOARD (by

On January 15, 1993, General Che~iica1Corporation (General
Chemical) filed a waiver of the decision deadline. General
Chemical extended the decision deadline for forty—eight days.
General Chemical notes that it has agreed to a forty-five day
extension of the filing of the Agency’s
r.coaaemdation.
The
filing of the Agency recommendation is specified in the Board’s
procedural rules. The Agency recommendation
is
required to be
filed within 30 days of the filing of the petition. (Section
104.180) The Agency’s recoantendation on’ this variance petition
is due on February 1, 1993. Modifications to the Board’s
procedural requirements may not be aade without approval frog the
Board. The Agency has not filed a request for
an
extension for
the filing of its recommendation. The Agency is requested to
file a motion for an extension of the filing of the Agency’s
recommendation or to file the Agency recommendation in accordance
with the Board’s rules.
