This matter comes before the Board on a motion for extension
of time to respond to petitioner’s motion for reconsideration
filed February 4,
1993 by respondent Illinois Environmental
Protection Agency (Agency).
This is the Agency’s second request
for an extension.
The Agency requests an additional 45 days to
file its response asserting that the parties are exploring a
possible settlement agreement.
The Agency notes
in its motion
that petitioner does not object to the extension of time.
The Agency’s motion for a 45-day extension of time to file
its response is hereby granted.
The parties are encouraged to
complete settlement negotiations within this time period as any
further extensions will be looked upon with disfavor.
