    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by G.
    T. Girard):
    On
    September
    30,
    1992,
    the
    petitioner
    filed
    a
    petition
    captioned
    as
    above
    requesting
    the
    Board
    “to
    promulgate
    the
    following
    specific
    thermal
    standards
    to
    be
    applied
    to
    the
recirculated condenser cooling water discharge to Clinton Lake from
    the Illinois Power’s
    Clinton Power Station”.
    (Pet.
    at 1.)
    The
petition further states, however, that “the
    timing of the present
proceeding coincides with the period of time during which Illinois
Power must file with the Board its petition regarding the heated
    effluent
    demonstration
    for
    Clinton Lake
    as required by Section
    302.211(f).
    Illinois Power
is assembling the final exhibits and
other documentation for the thermal demonstration, and presently
intends to file its petition pursuant to Section 302.211(f)
    in the
    very near future.”
    (Pet. at 34-35.)
    The petition finally goes on
    to
    state
    that the principal
    objective
    of
    filing
    this petition
    before
    filing
    its Section
    302.211(f)
    petition
    is to
    secure the
final year of a variance granted by the Board in PCB 89-213.
    (Pet.
    at 35.)
    On
    October
    14,
    1992,
    the
    petitioner
    filed
    a
    document
indicating that the document was the petition for hearing on heated
    effluent demonstration.
The Board docketed that petition as PCB
    92-153.
The filing also included a motion to consolidate the case
    with PCB 92-142.
The actual filing of October 14,
    1992, is titled
“Additional Exhibits in Support of Petition for Hearing on Heated
    Effluent Demonstration”.
    0136-01407

    2
The Board is unclear as to exactly what relief the petitioner
is seeking in view of the quoted provisions from the petition in
    PCB 92-142.
    However,
given the subsequent filing docketed in as
PCB 92-153, the Board will interpret the additional filing as an
    amendment to this docket.
    Therefore,
    the Board will dismiss the
docket PCB 92-153 and proceed in this docket with the petitioner’s
request for a hearing on the heated effluent demonstration.
    The docket PCB 92-153
is hereby closed and the October
    14,
    1992
    filing by petitioner
    is accepted
    as
    an amendment
    to this
    docket.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
    I, Dorothy N.
    Gunn,
Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
    Board,
    do hereby certify
