ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by R. C.
Fleinal):
This docket was opened on October 24,
1991 by the Board
in
anticipation of modification of the geographic boundary of the
Metro—East ozone nonattainment area by the United States
Environmental Protection
(USEPA) pursuant to Title
I of the Clean
Air Act Amendments of 1990.
Such modification would also have
required amendment of those portions of the Board’s reasonably
available control technology
(PACT)
regulations that define the
Metro—East ozone nonattainment area for the purposes of Illinois’
regulations.
However, the Metro—East area was not modified in
USEPA’s most recent nonattaininent designations’, and no other
modification of the Metro—East nonattainment area now appears
imminent.
For the foregoing reason, the Board hearby dismisses this
proceeding.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
I,
Dorothy M. Gunn,
Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
Board, hereby cer
