On May 17, 1993,

the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency

(Agency) and the Illinois Environmental Regulatory Group

(IERG)

filed a joint status report in this matter.

The participants

report that IERG has circulated a draft proposal in this matter

which the Agency has reviewed.

The participants also report that

in response to IERG’s proposal, on April

2,

1993,

the Agency

circulated an alternate proposal to interested participants

including IERG and the Sierra Club.

Additionally, outreach

meetings with affected participants were held at the Agency on

April

5,

1993, and May 6,

1993.

The participants state that they believe that additional

time is needed to reach a final consensus and ask for a

continuance of this matter until August 30,

1993.

The

participants also report that Sierra Club concurs with their

status report.

The Board believes that it is in the best interest of

everyone involved to allow the interested participants time to

negotiate before proceeding to hearing in this matter.

Therefore,

this matter is continued until August 30,

1993.

The

Board and the hearing officer will determine the timing and

sequence of further actions in this docket upon the receipt of

the next status report.

The participants are hereby directed to

file a status report on or before August 30,

1993.
