ORDER OF THE BOARD (by N. Nardulli):
This matter is before the Board on petitioner the Village of
Grantfork’s petition for variance, filed on August 10, 1993.
Grantfork seeks a variance from the Board’s restricted status
rules as those rules involve total trihalomethanes and atrizines.
(35 Ill.Adm.Code 602.106, 611.310.) In its petition, Grantfork
provides the test results reporting the current levels of
trihalomethanes, but states that any data required on the levels
of atrizine can be obtained from the City of Highland.
It is Grantfork’s responsibility, as petitioner, to support
its request for variance. Part of that support will necessarily
involve discussion of the present levels of atrizine. Thus,
Grantfork is directed to provide the Board with that information.
That information will be construed as an amended petition,
restarting the time for Board decision on the request for
variance. Failure to provide the necessary information within 45
days of this order will subject the petition to dismissal.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Dorothy N. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
Board, hereby cer fy that the above order was adopted on the
