ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by R. C. Flemal):
On November 4,
1993,
LTV
Steel Company (LTV)
filed a status
report and motion to stay this proceeding.
No status report was
received from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
LTV
states that its thermal study has been performed and reports
prepared.
LTV
and its engineers have now submitted the reports
to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Agency) along
with a draft petition for adjusted standard.
LTV
estimates that
in 30 days it intends to submit to the Board a petition for
adjusted standard regarding the thermal discharges.
LTV
requests
that the Board continue to stay this proceeding for an additional
120 days.
LW reports that the Agency has no objection to the
granting of the motion.
An open waiver was previously filed in
this proceeding.
The Board finds that the status report indicates sufficient
progress toward resolution of this proceeding.
The Board grants
the motion to stay and directs the parties to file a status
report with the Board and hearing officer not later than February
10,
1994.
Such status report shall include the date of the
expected resolution of this matter.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Dorothy N. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
Board, hereby certif
