ORDER OF THE BOARD (by C. A. Manning):

The Board opened this docket to address the question of

developing an environmental effects criteria for selecting Toxic

Air Contaminants (TAC5) in its R90-1 order dated September 26,

1991. The Board opened this docket pursuant to the Illinois

Environmental Protection Agency’s (Agency) comments that it commits

to propose to the Board, within 12 to 18 months, environmental

criteria for selecting TACs. The Agency has yet to propose this

rulemaking. Therefore, the Board directs the Agency to file a

status report on or before January 14, 1994, as to the progress of

making such proposal. The Board will determine the timing and

sequence of further action in this matter upon the receipt of the

status report.
