ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by E.
Dunham):
On July 11,
1994, Safety-Kleen Corp.
(Safety—Kleen) filed a
status report pursuant to the Board’s order.
The status report
states that Safety—Kleen and the Illinois Environmental
Protection Agency
(Agency) have met to discuss issues related to
this appeal.
As a result of this meeting,
Safety-Kleeri has
agreed to submit proposals for resolution to the Agency.
An
additional meeting is scheduled between the parties in July.
Safety-Kleen expects that a resolution will be reached on this
appeal expeditiously.
The Board is supportive of the parties’ attempts to
negotiate a resolution to this matter.
However, the Board will
not indefinitely delay substantive action on this case.
We will,
however, continue the matter for an additional
45 days,
in an
effort to allow completion of the negotiations.
The Board
directs Safety-Kleen and the Agency to file status reports
(or a
joint status report,
if the parties prefer) no later than
September
2,
1994.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
