Transportation requested concurrence by the Board in a three

year extension of a permit to construct 3200 feet of steel

sheet piling to retain fill for the proposed relocation of

Lake

Shore

Drive in Chicago~

On December

31,

1979 the

Illinois Environmental Protection Agency stated that the

proposed project may be completed without causing water

pollution as

defined in Section 3(n)

of the Environmental

Protection Act~

The Chairman is hereby authorized to sign the permit on

behalf of the Boarth
