Flemal):

This matter comes before the Board on an Illinois

Environmental Protection Agency (Agency) motion for an extension

of time to file its response.

In its motion the Agency states

that the City of Rock Island (Rock Island)

is conducting further

study involving mussels in the vicinity of Rock Island’s proposed

discharge.

The Agency would like to have the benefit of the

study before filing its response to the amended petition.

The

Agency expects that it will be able to file its response on or

before September 15,

1994.

The Agency reports that Rock Island

has no objection to the granting of this motion.

Also, Rock

Island has filed a waiver of the decision deadline in this matter

until December

3,

1994.

The Board grants the motion for extension of time.

The

Agency shall file its response to the amended petition no later

than September 15,

1994.
