ORDER OF THE BOARD (by C.A. Manning):

On August 18, 1994, Granite City Steel Division of National

Steel (GCD) filed a motion to withdraw a petition for review

filed with the Board on June 6, 1994. In the June 6 petition,

GCD challenged the IEPA’s rejection of a site classification plan

for remediation of a UST site. Subsequent to the filing of that

petition, on August 11, 1994, we issued the Second Notice opinion

and order in R94-2(A) which among other things, proposed

regulations governing site classification plan requirements.

Based on the Second Notice opinion and order, the Agency has

agreed to withdraw the rejection and the parties will “restart”

the site classification process. GCD is thus asking that we

allow the withdrawal of the petition. The motion is granted and

this docket in this matter is hereby closed.
