ILLINOIS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD
    October
    6,
    1994
    IN THE MATTER OF:
    )
    R94—24
    UIC UPDATE,
    USEPA REGULATIONS
    )
    (Identical in Substance Rules)
    (January
    1 through June 30,
    )
    1994)
    )
    Proposed rule.
    Dismissal order.
    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by R.C.
    Flemal):
    Pursuant to Sections 7.2,
    13(c),
    and 22.4(a)
    of the
    Environmental Protection Act (Act), the Board would normally
    propose amendments to the Underground Injection Control
    (UIC)
    regulations semi—annually.
    Accordingly, the Board reserved this
    docket for U.S. EPA amendments during the period from January
    1
    through June 30,
    1991.
    During this period,
    U.S. EPA amended its
    UIC rules one time during this period, as follows:
    59 Fed. Reg.
    29958, June 10,
    1994
    This was an amendment of references to the prescribed form for a
    letter of credit used for RCRA Subtitle C, underground injection,
    and underground storage tanks to indicate copyright.
    Since the single amendment to the UIC rules required in this
    proceeding was so closely related to a parallel amendment in the
    RCRA Subtitle C hazardous waste regulations, and since it was
    faster and more convenient to do so, the Board included the
    amendment in the RCRA Subtitle C update docket for this period.
    That
    docket is R94-17, which the Board presently intends to adopt
    later this month.
    For the foregoing reason, the Board hereby dismisses this
    proceeding.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
    I, Dorothy N. Gunn,
    Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
    Boar4, do hereby certify that
    lhe
    above Order was adopted on the
    day of
