    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by R.C.
    Flemal):
    On January 30,
    1995,
St. Louis Auto Shredding (SLAS) and the
    Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Agency)
    filed a joint
status report pursuant to a December
    1,
    1994 Board order.
    The
parties state that they have reached agreement about the most
significant terms of the closure permit. Since that agreement,
SLAS has placed a cover on the existing landfill, and tested and
documented the integrity of that cover.
    On December 6,
    1995,
SLAS submitted an application for Closure Certification to the
    Agency.
SLAS anticipates hearing within 90 days of that filing
whether the Agency will grant the Closure Certificate.
    If the
Certificate is granted, SLAS expects to file a motion to dismiss
    this permit appeal.
The Board accepts the parties’ status
    report.
SLAS and the Agency also request a new status date.
    The
Board grants the request for new status date.
    The Board directs
SLAS and the Agency to file status reports, or a joint status
report if the parties prefer, to be received by the Board and
hearing officer no later than March 31,
    1995,
    in the event that
this matter has not already been resolved and dismissed.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
    I, Dorothy N.
Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
    Boarçl, hereby cert
