    This matter is
    before the Board on a joint status report and request for extension of stay
    filed April

    1996 by Abbott Laboratories
    and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
    The parties state that the present matter
    is subject to a
    stay
    pending approval of the United
    States Environmental Protection
    Agency (USEPA) of rulemaking R94-3 1,
    an amendment to
    35
    Ill.
    Adm.
    Code
    218 Subpart T.
    It is the parties’ stated belief that the USEPA
    is experiencing a
    backlog of final orders due
    to the federal government shutdowns
    in November
    and
    December
    1995,
    and accordingly request that the
    stay
    in this matter be extended.
    The motion for stay is
    granted until July
    18,
    1996.
    The parties are directed to file
    status
    reports, eitherjointly or separately, no later than July
    10,
    1996.
