Pursuant to the authority conferred by Sections

27 and 49(c)

of the Environmental Protection Act, approved June

26,

1970,

the

Illinois Pollution Control Board hereby takes the following actions:

1.

In SWB-l,

5 and

6, the following is deleted where it

appears:

“Nothing contained in these Rules

and Regulations

shall apply

to or be effective

in any Sanitary

District which now has a human population of one

million or more within its territorial limits.”

In SWB—7,

9,

10,

11,

12,

13,

14 and 15,

the following

language

is deleted from the respective implementation sections:

.exclusive of the area embraced by the

Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago.”

3.

The regulations and rules for exemption of political

subdivisions, adopted January

28,

1970, by the

Air

Pollution Control

are repealed.
