Dear Ms. Gunn:
The United States Environmental Protection Agency
(U.S.
EPA)
has
reviewed the Illinois Pollution Control Board’s January 24,
2002,
RCRA Update R02-1 and R02-12,
which is analogous to the RCRA
Cluster 11 and 12 rules that appeared in the Federal Register
between January
1,
2001,
and December 31,
2001.
We have noticed that the CAS numbers are missing for chemical
number K-178.
Mr. Gary Westefer~of my State Programs and
Authorization Section, has discussed this with Mike McCambridge
of the Pollution Control Board,
and Mike has informed him that
these will be addressed in the final
of this docket,
or in
the next docket.
Other than the CAS numbers we have no comments
on this submission.
We have also been informed by the Illinois Pollution Control
Board and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency that you
will need to have us waive the 30 post—adoption comment period to
enable Illinois to obtain Interim Authorization for the CAMU rule
published in the
Federal Register
on January22,
2002.
We hereby
grant that waiver.
Please contact Mr. Gary Westefer, of my staff,
at(312)
886—7450,
if you have any questions,
or are in need of further assistance.
Sincerely yours,
Willie
