Please consider that advanced distributed power generation technology is now in the
demonstration phase which has the following advantages vs. currently proposed turbine
peaker or base load systems;
Nearly twice the efficiency of simple cycle peakers
Less than I ppm NOx output
Requires no water input(produces a small amount of water)
It would be unfortunate to have large investments made in peakers with poor
efficiency, high water use and much higher NOx emissions considering that the older
utility plants have escaped pollution controls for 30 years.
Enclosed are two reports which discuss the new technology SOFC hybrid generators.
