Dear Illinois Pollution Control Board,

I am writing you this letter to ask that you make sure that our

streams are protected under legislation.

Please put the strongest

antidegradation rules in place to ensure that our children can play

and swim and catch interesting little creatures to study in our

streams and rivers.

Shame on those who think it’s not important to

maintain

clean water systems.

Please do not be

shortsighted.

If

it’s in your hands, then do what is right.

Your neighbors, fellow

community citizens, your children and grandchildren will thank

you.

Thank you for helping me, as a parent and a person who

thoroughly enjoys playing safely in creeks and the natural habitat.
