    ORDER OF THE BOARD (by R.C. Flemal):
     
    On July 20, 2001, Gould Electronics, Inc. filed an appeal of an Illinois Environmental Protection
    Agency (Agency) denial of its Site Investigation Summary Report and Remediation Objectives Report
    and Brownfield Development Remedial Action Plan regarding battery debris at respondent’s Freeport,
    Stephenson County, site. The Board accepts this matter for hearing.
     
    Hearings shall be scheduled and completed in a timely manner pursuant to the applicable
    statutory decision deadline or as extended by waiver (see 415 ILCS 5/40(a)(2) (2000), 35 Ill. Adm.
    Code 101.308). Unless otherwise ordered by the hearing officer, the Agency shall file the record of its
    review of the permit application within 30 days of notice of the petition. See 35 Ill. Adm. Code
    105.116.
