    NOTICE OF HEARING

    PURPOSE OF HEARING: To receive comments and questions regarding Part 130,
    Identification and Protection of Trade Secrets and Other Non-
    Disclosable Information, as contained in the Board’s March 16,
    2000 proposal for first notice.
    DEADLINES FOR WRITTEN COMMENTS: June 1, 2000 for comments on Parts 101-125
    June 15, 2000 for comments on Part 130

    HEARING OFFICER ORDER
    Hearings
    Two hearings have been scheduled in this matter. The first was held in Springfield,
    Illinois, on April 11, 2000. The second was held in Chicago, Illinois, on May 4, 2000. In
    response to comments from the Illinois Environmental Regulatory Group, the Chemical Industry
    Council of Illinois, and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, a third hearing is hereby
    scheduled for Monday, July 10, 2000, at 10:00 a.m., in the Board’s Springfield office. While
    the purpose of this third hearing is primarily to receive additional comments and testimony

    regarding Part 130, Trade Secrets and Other Non-Disclosable Information, other relevant
    comments will be allowed. Prefiling of testimony regarding comments to Part 130 is required
    to participate and the prefiled testimony is due on June 15, 2000. Also, any specific
    recommended language changes are due on June 15, 2000, as well. Persons who wish to
    speak at the hearing on issues other than Part 130 are asked to contact the hearing officer on or
    before July 1, 2000, and advise as to the nature of the anticipated comments. Prefiling of non-
    Part 130 testimony is also encouraged.
    Public Comment
    The previously scheduled June 1, 2000 deadline for the filing of written public
    comments remains in effect for Parts 101-125 of the Board’s March 16, 2000 proposal for first
    notice. However, with regard to written public comment concerning the Part 130 Trade Secret
    provisions, the deadline is hereby extended to June 15, 2000. For further information
    concerning the filing of written public comments, interested persons are directed to the Hearing
    Officer order of March 16, 2000.
