ILLINOIS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD

ILLINOIS ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION AGENCY,
Complainant,
V.
OAKBROOK UTILITY COMPANY,
INC.,

Respondent.

PCB 83—40
INTERIM ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by W.
3.
Nega):
The Board finds that the Stipulation and Proposal
for Settle-
ment filed on September
9,
1983 is generally acceptable.
However, the Board is concerned that the costs
of the con-
nection of the Oakbrook 5th and 6th Additions to the City of
Carlinville’s wastewater treatment system may ultimately be
passed along to the relatively small
number of the Respondent’s
customers
in the form of
a substantial rate increase.
Thus,
the Board requires more information as to the status
of Federal, state,
local or other grant applications,
if any,
by the City of Carlinville for the proposed wastewater connection.
Accordingly, the parties are ordered
to submit more infor-
mation as to the nature and current status of
any relevant grant
applications within 45 days of the date of this Order.
IT
IS SO ORDERED.
