ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by
Mr.
Marder)
On September .27,
1974,
the Board entered its final Order in the
above—captioned matter, concerning Edison’s Waukegan and Sabrooke
plants.
On October 18, 1974, Edison filed its Motion for Modifica-
tion of September 27,
1974, Order, requesting the Board to change
certain of the operating conditions of that Variance Order.
The
Board
finds
the
request
of
Edison
to
operate
Waukegan
Units
6
and
7
at the same minimum load as allowed in our Order in PCB 73-40
is reas-
onable, and will be granted.
These minimum loads
are necessary to
prevent damage to the station’s equipment and stacks.
Edison’s other
requests for modification of the Order are denied.
The problems re-
lating to the SO3 injection system and the monitoring reports are
based on allegations that were not brought out at hearing and subject
to examination by the other parties.
The post-Order motion process
is not to be used to cure defects in
a party’s case.
Information as
to these problems should appear in the record.
These requests do
not appear to be based on any new information that became known to
Edison after the final Order was entered.
The information contained in this Motion shall be used in consid-
ering the final Order in PCB 74-16.
