ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by
I.
G. Goodman):
On November 16,
1982 Acme Barrel Company
(Acme)
filed
a
petition for variance,
Due to potential public interest and
because a revision to the State Implementation Plan, under the
Clean Air Act, may be needed should variance be granted, on its
own motion the Board orders hearing set in the matter.
Since
the petition received indicates that construction modifications
have already begun, hearing is to be set as soon as possible.
Prior to hearing,
the Petitioner is ordered to answer the
following:
1)
For how long is variance requested?
2)
When the construction program is completed, will
Petitioner be in compliance with Board regulations?
3)
What type of pollutants are emitted from Petitioner’s
facility?
4)
In what amounts are these pollutants estimated
to
be emitted now,
during construction, and after con-
struction?
The answers should be submitted to the Board and the Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
