ORDER OF THE BOARD

On February
4, 1982 the Board entered a Proposal for Rule-
making
in this matter in response to the July
13,
1981 filing
of an economic impact study of existing Rule 203(f) of Chapter
3,
Water Pollution,
and “inquiry” hearings held in response
bo that
filing.
The Board hereby instructs the Clerk of the Board to
institute the first notice period on the rules proposed in the
February
4 Order.
The Board is proceeding to first notice at this time in
the hope of having a final rule
in place by July
1,
1982 or
as shortly thereafter as possible, since the exemption from
the ammonia nitrogen water quality standard contained in present
Rule 402.1 expires on July 1,
1982.
In order to meet that date
first notice must commence at least ninety days before that
time.
The Board notes,
however, that at least fourteen days
will be allowed for comment prior to the close of record in
this
matter after the transcript of the final day of hearing
is filed with the Board.
