    The City of Crystal Lake filed a Petition for Variance
    on January

    That petition is defective under Rule 401(h)
    of Chapter
    1:
    Procedural Rules,
    in that hearing
    is neither
    requested nor waived (with an accompanying affidavit).
    Also,
    under Rule 401(a)
    a discussion of alternative methods of com-
    pliance should be included.
    If
    these
    defects are not corrected by the filing of an
    amended complaint within 45 days of the date of this order,
    the petition will be subject to dismissal.
