    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by Mr. Dumelle):
    On December
    9, 1977 Petitioner requested a variance from
the suspended solids limitation of Rule 408 of Chapter
    3:
Water Pollution of the Board~sRules and Regulations.
    The
petition is inadequate in several respects.
    First,
    it appears
to request permanent relief which is beyond the Board!s au-
    thority in variance cases,
    Second,
    it fails to assess the
environmental impact of the requested relief as required by
    Procedural Rule 401(a) (7).
    Third,
    it does not specifically
request or waive a hearing as required by Procedural Rule
    401(b).
If these deficiencies are not corrected within 45 days
of the date of this Order, this matter will be subject to dis-
    missal.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.

    L. Moffett, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution
Control Board, hereby ce tify the above Order was adopted pn
