ORDER OF THE BOARD

The following amendments are hereby authorized for publi-
cation in the Environmental Register and the Illinois Bulletin.
No hearings will be held on these matters.
Procedural Rule 403(b)
shall be amended to read as follows:
“The Agency shall give written notice of all variance
petitions to any person in the county in which the
installation or property is
located for which the
variance
is sought who has
in writing to the Agency
requested notice of variance petitions,
the States
Attorney of such county, the Chairman of the County
Board of such county, and to each member of the
General Assembly from the legislative district in
which the installation or property
is located and
to other persons as required by
law.
Within 10 days
after the petition is filed,
the Agency shall publish
notice of such petition in a newspaper of general
circulation in the county
in which the installation
or property
is located for which the variance
is sought.”
A new Rule 205(k)
shall be added to the Solid Waste Regu-
lations and
it shall read as follows:
“Upon receipt of a request for a permit required by
these regulations, the Agency shall notify the States
Attorney and the Chairman of the County Board of the
county in which the subject facility
is located and
each member of the General Assembly from the legis-
lative district in which that facility is located
and the clerk of each municipality any portion
of
which
is within
3 miles of the f:ciiity.”
These amendments are being proposed
r ~ that the Board’s
Rules will reflect recent amendments
to S~‘tions
37 and
39
of the Act.
Public comment on these amendments
shall, be accepted for
45 days from the date of this Order.
