ILLINOIS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD
March 14,
 1972
ROBERT H. MONYEK
v.
 )
 #
 PCB
 71—80
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY
Opinion and Order of
 the
 Board on Motion for Reconsideration
 (by
Mr.
 Currie)
Mr. Monyek~s request for
 a variance
 to allow connection of
a new home to sewers serving the Clavey Road sewage treatment
plant
in Highland Park was denied in an earlier Board order.
Mr. Monyek asks
 that we reconsider.
In North
 Shore Sanitary District v.
 EPA,
 #
 71-343
 (March
 2,
1972), we recently authorized
the District to allow up to 5000
new permits
 for connections
to its Clavey Ro~ad and Waukegan
plants,
 in recognition of improvements made
 and to be made at
these plants
 to provide better treatment.
 This decision renders
the present request moot.
 Mr. Nonyek
 is
 free
 to apply to the
District for a permit.
Unless and until he has done so and the
permit been
for some unanticipated reason denied, there
 is
no need for
 a variance from us.
The motion is hereby dismissed
 as moot.
I, Christan Moffett,
Clerk of the Pollution Control Board, certify
 that the
 Board adopted
the above Opinion and Order on Motion
for Reconsideration this
 14th day of March,
 1972, by a vote
of
 4—0.
