ILLINOIS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD
    March
    15,
    1979
    IN THE MATTER OF:
    p79—7
    PROPOSED PROCEDURAL RULES
    REVISIONS
    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by Mr. Goodman):
On February 28, 1979 the Attorney General
    of the State
of Illinois submitted proposed Procedural Rule revisions
    concerning Parts
    I,
    II,
    III,
    IV, and VI
    of the Pollution
    Control Board’s Procedural Rules,
    Rules 104(b),
    203,
    209,
    304(a),
    305(b),
    310(b),
    410(a),
    601(a) and 604(b).
    In
    essence the proposed revisions
    call for seven copies of
    documents
filed before the Board in various matters
    in lieu
of the currently required ten copies.
    The Board finds that
this situation was given extensive consideration during the
    Board’s
    last general revision of
    its rules.
    At that time it
was found that, although technically only seven copies are
    required by the Board
(one to each of five Board members,
one to the Hearing Officer, and one for the Clerk’s
    file),
in actual practice all ten copies are consumed due to the
fact that the Board serves copies upon the Agency and the
    Attorney General
    as a matter of courtesy
    in some situations
and must replace misplaced or lost copies,
    particularly with
respect the to downstate Board members when they attend the
    Board’s meetings.
Evaluation of the situation indicates that nothing has
changed at this time to cause the Board to reconsider the
    noted rules.
Although the Board appreciates the Attorney
General’s attempt to curtail excessive paperwork,
    we find
that in this case must dismiss the proposed rules revisions.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
    I, Christan L. Moffett, Clerk
    of the Illinois Pollution
Contrg~Board, hereby c rtify the above Order was adopted on
