On
July
6,
1976 the Agency forwarded to the Board a variance
request from the Village of Bureau seeking relief from the chlori-
nation requirements of the Federal Safe Water Drinking Act.
The
Board does not have the authority to grant the relief requested
and the petition is therefore dismissed.
If the village wishes to seek relief from the chlorination
requirements
(Rule 305)
of Chapter
6:
Public Water Supply Act,
the Village can resubmit a new variance petition following the
procedure as outlined in Rule 401 of the Board’s Procedural Rules.
