    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by,
    J.
    C. Marlin):
This matter is before the Board as a permit appeal of
conditions contained in the Illinois Environmental Protection
    Agency’s
(Agency) modification of closure plans for several of
Olin’s hazardous waste sites located in East Alton,
    Illinois.
    On
    November
    2,
    1992,
the Board received a joint status report from
    the parties to this action.
The report stated that the parties
    are “actively pursuing” settlement.
    The parties report that they
have agreed to the closure of two van box trailer storage units
which are part of this appeal and have negotiated a clean closure
plan with respect to a third unit.
    The Parties also report that
    on October
    2,
1992 the Agency advised Olin that its closure/post—
closure plans were not acceptable and directed Olin to file
    corrected plans.
The Parties had planned a tentative meeting
date in order to discuss plan modifications.
Olin and the Agency also report that they intend to continue
    negotiations in hope of
reaching an agreement on a closure/post-
closure plan which will lead to the closing of all the involved
    units.
In addition, the report stated that if the parties reach
such an agreement, Olin will move for dismissal of this appeal.
The Board orders the parties to submit another status report
to the Board on or before January
    5,
    1993.
