PROTECTION AGENCY,

ORDER OF THE BOARD
 (by J.D.
 Dumelle):
On October
 9,
1987, Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America
(“Natural Gas”)
 filed
a petition for hearing concerning permit
denial for
an underground injection well along with
 a genera?
waiver of decision deadline.
 On November 15,
 1988,
 a Hearing
Officer Order was entered with the Board stating
 that the parties
have reached
 a settlement
through which a permit would be
issued.
 The Order continued
 the matter generally,
 pending
 the
formalizing of the settlement, and a filing of a motion to
dismiss by Natural Gas.
 More
 than a year—and—a—half has elapsed
since that date.
The Board has been advised by the Hearing Officer
 that the
parties are still close
 to formalizing
 the settlement and that
the parties will consult
by phone with the Hearing Officer with
regard to status of settlement
 in September,
 1990.
 The Board
 directs the parties
 to submit
 a status report
 no later
 than
October
 1,
 1990.
If this case is not settled by that date,
 the
Board will consider ordering
 it
 to hearing or dismissing
 it
 for
want
 of prosecution.
IT
 IS SO ORDERED.
