filed

a

Waiver of Hearing, that

modified

their previous con-

ditional

request

for hearing,

National

has

requested a variance

from the

volatile

organic

compound

(VOC)

emission limitations

applicable

to

its

Rockford

can

manufacturing

plant.

If

National~s

request

for

a

VOC

variance

is

granted it will

require

revision

of

the

State

Implementation

Plan,

consequently

a

hearing

must

be

held,

This

matter

will

be

set

for

hearing.

In

order

to allow the

Board

to

make

an

informed

decision

the

parties

are

encouraged

to

provide

information

on

the level of

VOC

emissions,

in

pounds

per

year,

which

will not adversely affect

air

quality or the environment,

This

information

should include

any available VOC emissions data that would assist the

Board in

reviewing the impact of emissions during

the time of greatest

concern,

the ozone season,
