HEARING OFFICER ORDER
On July 15, 2004, all parties participated in a telephonic status conference with the
hearing officer. Discussion was had on the various motions that have been recently filed.
On July 14, 2004, the respondent, City of Morris (City), filed a motion for extension of
time to complete oral discovery, to and including August 1, 2004. The complainant had no
objection. The City’s motion is granted. On July 13, 2004, the complainant filed a motion to
compel the City to respond to complainant first set of interrogatories. The City represented that
the answers will be forthcoming. On July 14, 2004, the complainant filed a motion to compel
Community Landfill Company, Inc. (Community), to fully respond to discovery. Community
represented that it anticipates filing a timely response.
The parties or their legal representatives are directed to participate in a telephonic status
conference on September 14, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. The telephonic status conference must be
initiated by the complainant, but each party is nonetheless responsible for its own appearance.
At the status conference, the parties must be prepared to discuss the status of the above-
captioned matter and their readiness for hearing.
