in Substance Rule)
ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by 3.
Anderson):
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency
(Agency)
filed
a motion for extension of time on August
4,
1993.
It requested
ten additional days
in which to file its comments
in this matter.
The 45 day public comment period officially ended on August
2,
two days prior to the date of this order.
The Agency stated that the “press of business related to the
flooding along the internal and border rivers of the State of
Illinois has caused delays in the preparation of the Agency’s
comments
...
several issues have arisen concerning the clean—up
and disposal of flood debris
...
that have required the immediate
attention of the assigned counsel
...
and others participating in
the Agency’s evaluation of the above-entitled matter.”
(Agency
motion at
1.)
The Board hereby grants the Agency a 10-day extension of
time, until August
12,
1993,
to file its comments in this matter.
The Board notes that the time for response has not yet run.
Nevertheless, the nature of this motion warrants this action.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
