ORDER OF THE BOARD (by N.J. Melas):

On September 11, 2003, the parties jointly moved the Board to stay these proceedings
through December 1, 2003. The parties state that, as a result of the formal discovery process and
informal information exchanges, this case “has developed to the point that there is a substantial
possibility that the parties can resolve the case (or at least on certain major, significant aspects of
    it).” Motion, p. 1-2.

The parties’ motion is granted, and this matter is stayed through December 1, 2003. In
addition to relieving the parties of their discovery obligations during the pendancy of the stay,
this order also serves to delay the hearing officer’s ruling on complainant’s fully-briefed June 6,
2003 motion for protective order concerning a supplemental filing.

    IT IS SO ORDERED.

I, Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control Board, certify that the Board
adopted the above order on September 18, 2003, by a vote of 5-0.

    Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk
    Illinois Pollution Control Board
