MOTION FOR EXPEDITED HEARING SCHEDULE
NOW COMES, the
Chemical Industry Council of Illinois (“CICI”), by its
attorneys
Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw, LLP,
and moves the Hearing Officer to schedule both hearings in
this
matter in the month of July.
In support thereof, CICI states:
1.
Expediting this rulemaking is desirable to CICI members because itwill provide
speedy clarification of existing state permitting requirements.
2.
CICI understands that hearings in two parts of the state are required for this
rulemaking docket because the proposed rule will be of statewide applicability.
3.
CICI,
as the proponent of the rule, plans to have two witnesses who will be
testifying on the proposal in this docket.
Those witnesses are available in early, mid
and late
July, but have very limited availability thereafter until late August.
4.
Specifically, CICI witnesses, one ofwhom will be traveling from Washington
D.C., can be available July
1, the week ofJuly
11
—
15 (except July 14) and July 27-28, 2005.
This Document Has Been Printed on Recycled Paper
5.
Understanding that it is desirable to have a transcript ofthe first hearing available
prior to the second hearing, CICI would bear the cost of preparation ofan
expedited transcript to
ensure availability
ofthe transcript in the Board offices before the second hearing in July.
Respectfully submitted,
CHEMICAL INDUSTRY COUNCIL
OF ILLINOIS
