Concurring Opinion (by Mr. Currie and Mr. Lawton):
We agree with the Board’s opinion in all respects save
one; we would not allow the open burning of the remaining
explosive wastes at Marion to be done at the plant site.
The proposed burning site at Isarion is a singularly poor
place
for
open
burning.

There are few enough pacea
in this world where geese
and ducks
can
while aaay the time in security; it is
sacrilege to defile their few remaining sanctuariqs by the
burning of explosive wastes.
Yellowstone Park 15 remote too;
that does not make it a place to do
one’s
pollutinj.
The
Agency points out that another exp)osives manufacturer with
a plant in the sane refuge manages to truck its wastes outside
for burning (Reconmendation,
p.
11).
Trojan should do so as
well.
