ILLINOIS POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD
    March 11,
    1992
    IN THE MATTER OF:
    PETITION OF THE REYNOLDS METAL
    )
    AS 91-8
    COMPANY FOR ADJUSTED STANDARD
    )
    (Adjusted Standard)
    FROM 35 ILL. AD~1. CODE 218.980
    )
    ORDER OF THE BOARD
    (by M.
    Nardulli):
    This matter
    conies before the Board
    on the February
    28,
    1992
filing of a status report by the Reynolds Metal Company.
    Reynolds
states that the USEPA has indicated it will reconsider the rules
    involved
as expeditiously as practicable but has not yet made
    a
    decision.
    The Board
    accepted this matter
    for hearing
    on January
    23,
    1992,
    but delayed assigning a hearing
    officer until USEPA takes
    final action.
    This delay
is necessary because the petition could
    result
    in
    a
    revision
    to
    the
    State
    Implementation
    Plan
    (SIP).
Before a revision to the SIP can be accepted, the USEPA must first
    revise
    the
    Federal
    Implementation
    Plan
    (FIP).
    Reynolds
    has
petitioned USEPA for the revision to the FIP and is waiting for
    USEPA’s decision.
    The
    parties
    are
    directed
    to
    file
    a
    status
    report
    in
    the
    Board’s offices by June 10,
    1992.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
    I,
    Dorothy
    M.
    Gunn,
Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control
    Board,
    hereby
    certify that
