ORDER OF THE BOARD (by J. Theodore Meyer):
This matter is before the Board on a joint status report and request for extension of stay
filed July 10, 1996 by Abbott Laboratories and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
The present matter is subject to a stay pending approval of the United States Environmental
Protection Agency (USEPA) of rulemaking R94-31, an amendment to 35 Ill. Adm. Code 218
Subpart T. The amended rule, however, has not been approved by the USEPA as a revision to
the Illinois State Implementation Plan (SIP). The parties report discussions with the USEPA
revealed that Federal Register notice of the proposed revision to the Illinois SIP is in draft
form, and it is expected to be published shortly. Accordingly, the parties request that the stay
    in this matter be extended.
The motion for stay is granted until October 17, 1996. The parties are directed to file
status reports, either jointly or separately, no later than October 10, 1996.
    IT IS SO ORDERED.
I, Dorothy M. Gunn, Clerk of the Illinois Pollution Control Board, hereby certify that
the above order was adopted on the _____ day of ___________, 1996, by a vote of
