PETITION OF ALUMAX

FOR ADJUSTED STANDARD FROM

ADM.
CODE PART 218
ORDER OF THE BOARD
(by
B.
Forcade):
On August
9,
1993, Alumax filed
a
“Motion for Extension of
Time to File
a Second Amended Petition for an Adjusted Standard”.
Alumax requests an additional extension of
60 days to file
a
second amended petition.
Alurnax states that an extension
is needed due to ongoing
negotiations and exchanges with the Environmental Protection
Agency
(Agency).
In particular, Alumax notes that the Agency has
requested the testing of emissions.
Alumax contends that an
extension will prevent piecemeal amendments and allow Alumax to
submit an amendment that reflects the deficiencies cited by the
Board and the negotiations with the Agency.
Alumax indicates
that the Agency is
in support of the motion.
The Board grants Alumax a
60 day extension from September
13,
1993 to file a second amended petition.
The Board notes that
the second amended petition is now due on or before November
12,
1993.
