    On August
    4,
    1993,
    pursuant to the Board’s order of July
    1,
    1993, Reynolds Metals Company
    (“Reynolds”)
    filed a status report,
    with which the Agency concurs.
    The report states that on June 23,
    1992, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (“USEPA”)
    published
    a
    notice
    in
    the
    Federal
    Register
    staying
    the
    effectiveness of 40 CFR 52.741(x) and
    (y) as they apply to Reynolds
    to allow the USEPA to reconsider the applicability of these rules
    to
    Reynolds.
    The
    notice
    stated
    that the
    tJSEPA
    is
    proceeding
    expeditiously with this reconsideration.
    Reynolds adds that the USEPA’s regional attorney responsible
    for handling this matter
    has
    confirmed that
    the USEPA
    Regional
    Office
    has
    sent
    a
    proposal
    on
    the
    reconsideration
    to
    USEPA
    Headquarters
    for
    its
    review,
    that
    the
    USEPA
    Headquarters
    has
    completed its review and the Office of Management and Budget has
    returned the proposal to the USEPA Headquarters for final action.
    The parties are directed to file an updated status report on
    or before October 8,
    1993.
